The second day of LEAP 2026 brought a wave of major announcements, with total investments and launches reaching nearly $2.5 billion. The focus was on data centers, cloud services, localization of tech solutions, and research and development, further cementing Saudi Arabia’s push to become a global hub for digital infrastructure and advanced technologies.

MIS Leads with $1.2 Billion Data Center Expansion

Al Moammar Information Systems (MIS) topped the day’s announcements with a $1.2 billion investment to expand its data centers in the Kingdom. The company aims to increase its operational capacity to a total of 192 megawatts, responding to the growing demand for computing and artificial intelligence services.

NHC Innovation to Develop Data Centers in Wadi Khuzam

NHC Innovation announced the development of data centers in Wadi Khuzam Digital Valley, with an investment of $880 million. The project is designed to provide integrated and scalable digital infrastructure, targeting 65 megawatts of capacity by 2033.

Saudi Investment in African Digital Infrastructure

In a move extending Saudi investment reach globally, Vision Invest and the Africa Finance Corporation are leading a strategic $300 million investment in WIOCC. This initiative aims to support the expansion of digital infrastructure in Africa and enhance connectivity and digital services across the continent.

Mobily and BytePlus Launch Cloud Services

In the cloud services sector, Mobily and BytePlus announced a joint investment exceeding $150 million to launch BytePlus cloud services in Saudi Arabia. The partnership will expand the range of advanced solutions available to businesses and enterprises.

HPE Expands 'Made in Saudi' Program and Launches Innovation Center

HPE revealed an expansion of its ‘Made in Saudi’ program, moving from localizing hardware to localizing integrated technology solutions. The company also launched the Saudi Innovation Center in collaboration with Intel, aimed at supporting startups and national talent in artificial intelligence fields.

Nokia Opens First R&D Center in Saudi Arabia

In the telecommunications sector, Nokia announced the opening of its first research and development center in the Kingdom. The center will accelerate the development of AI-powered network automation technologies and enhance research, innovation, and advanced communications solutions.
