Manchester City have confirmed two high-profile acquisitions as they look to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season. The club has completed the signing of midfielder Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea, with reports valuing the deal at £125 million. This move marks a significant step in City’s ongoing midfield rebuild, which also includes the arrivals of Elliot Anderson and Ayub Bouaddi.
Enzo Fernandez Joins from Chelsea
The transfer fee for Fernandez matches the amount Liverpool paid last year to secure Swedish striker Alexander Isak. Fernandez becomes the latest marquee addition to Manchester City’s engine room, as the club continues to invest heavily in its central options.
Iliman Ndiaye Arrives from Everton
In a separate announcement, Manchester City have also signed Iliman Ndiaye from Everton on a five-year contract. Media reports suggest the club paid around £65 million (approximately $87.8 million) to secure the services of the 26-year-old forward.
Ndiaye is known for his ability to use both feet, which provides him with significant tactical flexibility. He is capable of operating on either wing or as a central striker. The Senegal international joins City after spending two seasons in the Premier League with Everton. He has also represented his country at the World Cup in 2022 and 2026.
Born in France, Ndiaye spent part of his childhood in Senegal before joining English club Sheffield United, where he impressed notably and won the team’s Player of the Year award during the season they earned promotion to the top flight in 2023.
