Moroccan football legends Medhi Benatia and Walid Regragui are embarking on a fresh venture together, this time in the world of television punditry. According to French sports daily L’Équipe, Regragui, the former coach of Morocco’s national team, has recently joined Canal+ as an analyst.
New Roles at Canal+
Regragui is set to appear in the French broadcaster’s analytical programs during European football evenings and matches from the English Premier League. His addition was announced by the channel during a press conference marking the launch of its new season, held at the newly named Michel Platini studio.
In a parallel move, Canal+ welcomed Benatia, a former Moroccan international defender, as a match analyst. The channel’s official account on X confirmed the news, stating, “Medhi Benatia joins the Canal+ team as an analyst.”
Additional Analyst Joins
The lineup also includes Inès Gorina, a 35-year-old former international midfielder, who has joined the group of analysts for the upcoming season.
