Real Madrid have officially announced the departure of one of their players to English football, with Manuel Ángel heading to Fulham. The move marks the end of a seven-year association between the young talent and the Spanish giants.
From La Fábrica to the First Team
Manuel Ángel first joined Real Madrid in 2018 at the age of 14, progressing through the club’s youth ranks before eventually breaking into the senior setup. According to the club’s official website, he made his first-team debut this year, a significant milestone in his development.
During his time in the Spanish capital, Ángel built an impressive record at youth level. He lifted the Copa del Rey Juvenil in 2022 and went on to captain the under-19 side to a historic treble during the 2022–2023 season, securing the league title, the Copa del Rey, and the UEFA Youth League.
A New Chapter at Fulham
Ángel’s switch to Fulham comes at a time when the London club are under the stewardship of Spanish coach Álvaro Arbeloa, a former Real Madrid player. Arbeloa had been in charge of the team until the end of last season before handing over the reins to Portuguese manager José Mourinho.
The transfer represents a fresh opportunity for the young midfielder as he prepares to test himself in the Premier League, carrying with him the experience gained from one of Europe’s most productive academies.
