250 MW AI Data Center: Saudi Arabia’s Tech Ambitions Get a Major Boost
At the LEAP conference, Together AI and HumanAI announced a strategic partnership aimed at accelerating the development of artificial intelligence infrastructure and cloud services in Saudi Arabia. The collaboration will link advanced computing capabilities developed by HumanAI within the Kingdom to the growing global demand for AI services.
New 250 MW Data Center in Saudi Arabia
The partnership includes plans to establish a new data center in Saudi Arabia with a capacity of up to 250 megawatts. This facility is expected to enhance the Kingdom’s ability to host AI-related workloads, including model training and inference, while providing computing services to developers, enterprises, and AI-focused companies worldwide.
The collaboration combines HumanAI’s large-scale, multi-chip infrastructure with Together AI’s specialized cloud platform for artificial intelligence. This integration aims to deliver high-performance computing resources hosted in Saudi Arabia, supporting the development and global availability of AI applications with low-latency access to key markets in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
The new infrastructure comes at a time when global demand for AI-focused data centers is rising, and energy has become a significant constraint on rapid expansion of computing capacity. Saudi Arabia leverages its energy generation capabilities and strategic geographic location to address this challenge.
Projected Revenues Exceed $5 Billion
The two companies expect the partnership to generate total annual revenues exceeding $5 billion in its first year, signaling the anticipated demand for the advanced computing and infrastructure to be developed in the Kingdom.
Tariq Amin, CEO of HumanAI, stated that the future of AI depends on combining world-class infrastructure, platforms, and ecosystems. He noted that the collaboration brings together HumanAI’s infrastructure capabilities with Together AI’s cloud platform and its global developer ecosystem.
Supporting HumanAI's Strategy
This partnership is part of HumanAI’s strategy to build an integrated AI value chain, encompassing data centers, computing infrastructure, cloud platforms, foundational models, and AI applications. The company continues to expand its capabilities to support a wide range of workloads through a multi-workload, multi-chip infrastructure designed to meet the needs of developers, enterprises, and AI-dependent companies.
Advancing Open Source AI
Together AI provides a cloud platform specialized in open source AI, offering access to advanced models, production-grade inference capabilities, and infrastructure for model training. Through this partnership, developers and companies will be able to leverage these capabilities via infrastructure hosted in Saudi Arabia, supporting the development, training, and deployment of AI applications for global markets.
Vipul Ved Prakash, co-founder and CEO of Together AI, emphasized that open source AI has become a primary approach for companies seeking to own their models, data, and intelligent capabilities. He affirmed that the collaboration with HumanAI combines the Saudi company’s expertise in developing large-scale infrastructure with Together AI’s experience in cloud AI and specialized technologies.
Overall, the partnership aims to accelerate the adoption of AI technologies across various sectors, support the development of the next generation of AI-based applications and services, and strengthen Saudi Arabia’s position as a global hub for computing infrastructure and AI services.
