Boys Team Results
Oxford’s four scoring players combined for a 295, finishing a comfortable 12 strokes ahead of second-place Lewisburg, which posted a 19-over total. Germantown took third at 21-over, while Hernando rounded out the top four at 39-over. The Chargers’ depth proved decisive, as only the top four individual scores counted toward the team total.
Senior Walker Gary led the way for Oxford, firing a 2-under 70 to pace the field. His steady play set the tone for a lineup that included three sophomores. Senior Maier Jernigan led Oxford with an 8-over 80, the lowest individual score for the Lady Chargers. Her experience and steady play provided a foundation for a young squad that will look to build on this runner-up finish.
“We knew Germantown would be tough, but I’m proud of how our girls competed,” Jernigan said. “We have a lot of season left, and this gives us something to build on.”
Despite the second-place team finish, Oxford’s girls showed promising signs, with Jernigan’s 80 highlighting the day. The Lady Chargers will look to close the gap on Germantown in future tournaments.
Course and Conditions
